It’s that time of year again, and the Crexendo team made their annual appearance at ITEXPO 2022 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to soak in the technology and learn about the trends we can expect in the upcoming year. It’s hard to think of a better combination, and Crexendo was one of over 300 exhibiting companies at this year’s tech super show expo, which was all about rethinking, regrouping, and rediscovering. However, the theme was clear – the future of work is here.

Businesses rushed to deploy remote solutions in 2020 to keep operations moving forward, pushing them to adopt UCaaS solutions for team collaboration. By 2021, more organizations were trending toward a hybrid workforce. Businesses that demanded employees return to the office have felt the wrath of ignoring their employees’ needs and watched them leave for more positions that offer a more flexible work environment. Remote and hybrid work have been demonstrably successful, and ITEXPO confirmed what we already knew. 

Now, businesses are evaluating how they’re going to move forward with their tech strategies as more permanent solutions are sought. Fortunately, various opportunities exist to create permanent strategic solutions. With a proof of concept showing the success of remote and hybrid work, we’re at a new level of understanding the ideas to implement it in a better way.

Jason Beckett, VP of Sales for Crexendo^®’s NetSapiens Division, spoke with us for a few minutes about the event – “Every year, new technologies and trends get shown at ITEXPO. This year, the focus is on technologies that forecast the future of work. Clearly, the trends to increased mobility and collaboration in a work-from-anywhere world will be how we communicate both short-term and for many years to come.” 

At this stage, organizations recognize that remote and hybrid work is here to stay, and it’s time to move away from the “temporary solutions” they’ve implemented for their workforce. By 2023 70 percent of businesses will implement UCaaS solutions, highlighting the trajectory this industry is poised for and indicating that businesses should adopt it sooner rather than later. 

All in all, it was another successful year at ITEXPO. We’ve learned a lot about what to expect over the next year and how to tailor our strategies to the current trends.
