One in particular that enables students to learn business skills and economic concepts that contribute to the success of a business is the JA BizTown program.
Crexendo is a long-time supporter of JA of Arizona, as is The Steve Mihaylo & Lois Mihaylo Foundation. Crexendo sponsors a BizTown store in JA Arizona’s Tempe location that is managed and operated by students in the program. The Crexendo BizTown store gives students first-hand experience in how business communication services work, their value to companies like the ones in JA BizTown, and how to run a profitable cloud communications company. However, no successful business of any kind remains so without solid leadership. Crexendo CEO Jeff Korn can attest to the critical need for clear organizational vision, effective strategy, team motivation, and, most importantly, positive bottom-line results. The same is true for the Crexendo BizTown store and its CEO.
Recently, the leaders of Crexendo and Crexendo BizTown met at the company’s headquarters in Tempe, where they discussed important topics, and Jeff Korn shared some valuable leadership insights. In a letter to the company, our BizTown leader shared how she enjoys being CEO and likes the store environment. During the visit, there was the requisite photo opportunity; from the looks of it, she’s very comfortable sitting at the CEO’s desk!
