It’s not about putting a computer interface on all your electronic items. It’s about making these items “aware”. Having them share data and maybe even respond to it. As we have overwhelmingly adopted the always-on devices (smartphones, tablets) the enabled “things” will be controlled and data gathered by them. IoT will be about applications and mobility over the cloud. It already is.
