In the tech space, June is a time when the industry is filled with excitement because ITEXPO is on the horizon. This year was no different Crexendo® Company, made its appearance in sunny South Florida to meet with industry leaders to rethink, regroup, and rediscover. They were one of over 300 exhibiting companies at this year’s tech super show expo with a theme that was clear – the future of work is here.
It’s hard to deny the rocky nature of the past couple of years, and each industry can attest to its struggles. The pandemic caused businesses to seek temporary solutions to overcome the overwhelming majority of people that had no choice but to work from home. However, as the light at the end of the tunnel grew and employees spent more time safely back in the office, it allowed for new opportunities, and organizations are capable of creating permanent strategic solutions. While remote work continues to be widespread, and data projections showing that 25 percent of all jobs in North America will be remote by the end of 2022, hybrid work has become the desired outcome for most businesses today.
The past two years have allowed us to develop a proof of concept, and more permanent solutions are in place as we get to a new level of understanding ideas that we can implement in a better way. The channel understood the potential of remote work, while the rest of the world realized it all at once. As businesses evaluate their strategy and carefully plan how they move forward, it’s more important than ever for technology to adapt.
We caught up with Jason Beckett, VP of Sales for NetSapiens, a Crexendo® Company for a few minutes to discuss his experience – “Every year, new technologies and trends get shown at ITEXPO. This year, the focus is on technologies that forecast the future of work. Clearly, the trends to increased mobility and collaboration in a work-from-anywhere world will be how we communicate both short-term and for many years to come.”
Thomas Welsh from Affiliated Inc. also had a lot to say “As a Netsapiens Partner, I was so thrilled to witness how mature the overall ecosystem has become as I traversed the ITEXPO Exhibit Hall. My Vertical Market focus is filled with Call Center customers, both large and small, where their users are settling into a permanent remote work or hybrid work environment. It is our job to provide the tools to help manage this Future of Work, and between Netsapiens and all their Partners combined with my Development and Customer Success Teams, I feel confident we are meeting our goals.”
While the future of work was a trending topic, another subject of discussion was channel strategy and how you need to be the overall encompassing solution for your customers. For example, if you aren’t talking about security with your client, somebody else is, and they’re in their ear, earning their business and becoming the person they trust.
Another discussed topic is the supply chain issue plaguing the industry, causing people to sell cloud solutions because they can make a quick sale, quick revenue, and be up and running quickly. It’s less liability, and transitioning to the cloud is a great channel sales strategy. It’s essential to work with partners who are channel-friendly. By working with channel-friendly companies, you’re guaranteeing better margins.
Fortunately, Theresa Witzel, Director of Channel Sales at Crexendo, took time out of her busy schedule to chat with us – “I love being at ITEXPO, with like-minded professionals. People are nervous about the economy and how they’re supposed to navigate through it. The bottom line is that communications survive the downturn in the economy. Crexendo teaches how to help companies save money, communicate better, and change how we are all working together.”
All in all, ITEXPO was a resounding success. The key takeaways for the upcoming year consisted of how work will be conducted and moving away from temporary solutions, and the relationship with channel partners. The trends speak for themselves, and as long as we follow them, we should be bulletproof moving forward.
